Celebrities Line Up to Trade Gowns for Pinup Props

And the results are … disappointing. 

Contrary to the essence of light-hearted and playful pinups frequently resurrected, Timothy White’s book of celebrity pinups are just, all sorts of wrong.  It’s dark, moody, vampish, Vega showgirl-ish, too much skin, too much harsh lights, too much black, culminating in some kind of fetish theme running through the pictures that makes me mildly uncomfortable.
