Andy Warhol had the Midas touch. Not only did he manage to turn Marilyn Monroe, Che Guevara and Mao portraits into high art by applying some dark room tricks, he could also take Polaroids of stuff like bananas, shoes, eggs and other mudane objects, and have people go ga-ga over them years later.
Those shots were taken between 1977 and 1983, and the “Andy Warhol Still-Life Polaroids” exhibition is taking place at the Paul Kasmin Gallery in New York.
